KAUST cases
The total number of cases of COVID-19 identified at KAUST remains at 16. All of the positive cases have been discharged upon completion of the MOH testing requirements. The last positive case was 11 days ago.
Eat-in options at restaurants and coffee shops
Managed eat-in/outside options at restaurants and coffee shops will be introduced as soon as we are confident they can be operated safely. Further details will be communicated in the coming days.
Outdoor Seating areas
Furniture is gradually being returned to the Discovery Square and Harbor Walk areas. Please do not move the furniture. It will be placed to maintain a 2m gap between tables or groups. Groups should be in line with the published Keep KAUST Safe guidelines, which is currently a maximum of 5 people per group.
Casting for a “Thank You” video message
Global Branding and Communications (GBC) is looking for community members who would be interested in being part of a film to thank the KAUST community—especially our frontline workers and volunteers—for their collective efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you’re based on campus and you would be interested in taking part, please have a look at the
full details about this project on
The LENS and submit your interest
no later than Sunday, May 31.
Wear your own face coverings
Many community members had washable face coverings delivered lately. Please do not forget to take them with you if you plan to visit Tamimi, Greens Fresh Produce or any store/retailer on campus. They are mandatory to visit those places and help minimize the spread of COVID-19 combined with other preventive measures, and they are environmentally friendly!
