The CMT and the EOC established in response to the COVID-19 crisis continue to take action and wish to provide the following updates.
The current number of positive cases identified on campus remains at 7. All KAUST patients are being well taken care of and we are keeping in touch with them and monitoring their progress. We are creating a summary to share more information with you on a regular basis, and we hope to have that ready in the next couple of days.
These are the items that we wish to update you on today.
Temporary Repatriation of Expatriate Personnel
Some countries are now organizing repatriation flights to home countries through their respective embassies and consulates in Saudi Arabia. If you are interested in a potential repatriation flight, please contact your embassy/consulate directly and they will advise if this is an option. Please note that not all countries are offering repatriation flights. Please find more details about repatriation flights
here.
Plan your Tamimi shopping sensibly
We would like to remind the community that Tamimi is open during curfew hours until 2:00 a.m. Here are some good practices to better plan your shopping in these fast-changing times:
- Only one person per household can enter the store
- Plan ahead and write down a list. Buy groceries and household items for the whole week and buy fresh supplies once in between. Think about the needs of everyone in your household—including your pet(s)—to avoid forgetting items and having to return to the store.

Emergency contact details
HR would like to remind the community to update your emergency contact details in the
Portal so we have a record of whom to contact on your behalf in the event of an emergency. If possible, it's best to have at least two emergency contacts. This way, they will be able to work together—or, if one is unavailable, the other can take charge.
Please follow the instructions below to update your emergency contacts and provide the following:
- In-Kingdom emergency contact
- Out-of-Kingdom emergency contact (where applicable)
