Collective responsibility in relaxing COVID-19 restrictions

30 May, 2020

Dear community,

The first wave of reduced COVID-19 restrictions has gone well over the last few days.We have been able to reduce several restrictions and open some facilities again for the first time in more than two months.
Thank you for your patience and consideration for other community members and the staff operating these facilities.
As we come out of lockdown, please be considerate as some members of the community will be nervous and concerned. Please stick to the guidelines to protect yourselves and for the protection of others in our community.

South Beach

We have restricted capacity at South Beach. If there is no space then you can come back at another time, or visit one of the other areas that are reopened.
When using the beach, the maximum group size is 5 people. We have 40 cabanas that can each be used by one group. Groups should remain separate. There is no swimming allowed at this time. We hope to restart swimming and water sports soon and we will communicate that when it is finalized.

Please be patient with the staff operating our facilities. They need our cooperation to ensure that we all remain safe by complying with the published physical distancing directives.

North Beach, King Abdullah Monument Park, other open areas

The maximum group size allowed is 5 people, and all physical distancing directives must be followed.
