Get protected this flu season.

Book your appointment now!

KAUST Health and Government Affairs, in association with the Ministry of Health, are pleased to announce that the annual flu vaccination program is available to receive bookings for those wishing to receive a flu vaccine at KAUST Health.

Please read the information below carefully before you book your appointment.

Important to know about the flu vaccine program:

  • Appointment availability: Weekdays between Nov 7-18
  • Appointment times: 5.30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Location: KAUST Health main clinic entrance.
  • Booking: You must book a slot on the flu vaccine booking system – see instructions below
  • Registration: Bring your Iqama or Saudi National ID and your QR code
  • Keeping KAUST Safe: KAUST Health remains a location where face coverings are required – please wear a face covering at all times inside the clinic.
  • Come to your appointment on time: This is important to manage the flow of people and ensure waiting times are minimized.
  • The vaccine will be administered to your arm: Please wear loose clothes so that you can easily roll up your sleeve.
  • If the children are not booked for vaccination, avoid bringing them to the clinic.

How to book your flu vaccine:

  • Select yourself or dependent from the list under your profile
  • Select a convenient time/date and complete the questions
  • An email confirmation will be sent with details of the booking

Who is eligible for the flu vaccine:

Anyone resident in the KAUST community is eligible for the vaccine, but it is highly recommended for the following groups:

  • Pregnant women
  • Over 65 years
  • Children from the age of 6 months upwards
  • Those with chronic diseases (e.g., asthma or diabetes)
  • Those with a weak or low immune system
  • Registered carers and healthcare workers

Please note that this vaccine program is for all KAUST residents and employees/contractors only.

Non-resident service providers are not permitted to book at this time.

Flu vaccine and children

Some children aged 6-months through 8-years require two doses of the flu vaccine. The first dose essentially "primes" the immune system, while the second dose provides immune protection.  If your child is getting vaccinated for the first time or has only previously received one dose of vaccine, your child should get two doses this season. If your child has previously gotten two doses of vaccine (at any time) s/he only needs one dose this season. The second dose should be given at least 28 days after the first dose. Be sure to get your child a second dose if s/he needs one.
