KAUST cases

The number of positive cases identified on campus remains at 15. We are keeping in touch with and monitoring the progress of the one positive KAUST case transferred to Jeddah. We keep in touch with all of our previous discharged cases and monitor their progress and we wish them well.

Tamimi volunteers and best shopping times

Volunteers are placed outside Tamimi stores and are there for your safety and protection. All community members are requested to follow the direction given by volunteers including wearing face coverings while in the queue and while shopping, and only entering the store when permitted to do so.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Do you want to avoid long queues and optimize your shopping time? We now have aheat map showing you the best shopping times at Tamimi. The more red the square, the longer the queue is likely to be.
Check the heat map here!

Once again, we’d like to thank you for your cooperation and ongoing adherence to directives. These have been designed to keep you safe and to help manage the crisis.

What is the COVID Compass project?

COVID Compass provides a real-time data dashboard that maps the most critical trends, events and impacts around the world in an easy-to-digest format with robust, timely data on a platform that is nimble and scalable and uses AI-drive sentiment analysis, trend modeling and real-time media monitoring.
To make this project a reality, KAUST teamed up with a global taskforce called The COVID Compass Taskforce. The taskforce consists of experts in data science, location intelligence, code, economics, journalism, public policy and media, and it is committed to quickly publishing relevant, relatable and actionable data around the COVID-19 pandemic.
