Tamimi Markets is very proud to be a valued member of the community at KAUST. This is a responsibility we take very seriously. We are in this together.
With the coronavirus pandemic, we have seen volumes at our stores more than double, and yet we have kept pace with this. With our inventories at peak levels in store, at our distribution centers and with our vendors in preparation for the Ramadan season, this willcontinue to be the case.
Our extended hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. daily will further help with social distancing efforts and keep up with demand.
However, the addition of online ordering has proven to be a challenge, even with the generous help of KAUST community volunteers to whom we give our thanks. Over the past three days, we have received more online orders than can be processed and delivered in a timely fashion. Our most at-risk community members, including quarantined individuals and whole households in self isolation, need the online service to be prioritized for them.
Effective Friday, March 27 and until further notice: Tamimi Markets’ online ordering system will be reserved ONLY for quarantined individuals and those considered by KAUST Health to be high risk.
All current online orders in the system will be CANCELLED later today. We will then start fresh and focus on the members of the community that need the service the most. If you recently received a telephone call from the store to say your order was delayed, these orders will also be cancelled. You will not be charged for your online order.
If you have any queries about reclaiming your Tamimi reward points or any other questions about your recent use of the online system, please contact our team atEcare@tamimimarkets.com. The Operations Team is currently in the process of contacting community members who are in quarantine about recent and future orders. If you are not on the official quarantine list but are in a household that is in the high risk category, please email CoronavirusTaskforce@kaust.edu.sa for advice about and eligibility for using the reserved online service.
